This building won the Year's Best Concrete Structure awarded by the Uusi Suomi newspaper in 1989 and the Vuoden Miljööpalkinto (Year's best milieu) also in 1989.
The cultural centre has a 346 seat hall, a municipal library, an exhibition space, a meeting room, a foyer, a fireplace corner, a café and a Lippupalvelu ticket service office.
Open: Mo-Fr 10am-6pm (ticket sales also an hour before the performances)
